Funk is the legacy and passion of soul music fused with an irresistible groove.
Funk has the power to reach people of all ages, colors and backgrounds.
Funk is not just dance music with an edge.
And contrary to popular belief, funk's duty is not to the booty, it's food for the soul; it's the gateway to redemption and total surrender.
"Funk not only moves, it can remove, dig?" -- George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic

In 2002, Daniel Jovkovic and his wife Olga began vacationing in Prince Edward County. They were so impressed and overwhelmed with the hospitality they experienced in “the County” that they invited LMT Connection, Canada’s premier funk band, to perform at the Mount Tabor Playhouse in Milford as an expression of their gratitude and desire to “give back” to the County. What a night to remember! Small town Milford had its road signs “bending over” when LMT’s Leroy Emmanuel began playing his old Gibson guitar.
This night of raw musical energy has now become an annual musical event that is drawing a diverse crowd of music lovers and artists from as far as Kingston Ontario to New York City. They are coming to experience a night like no other. Four years ago, the world famous Chops Horns got wind of this new funk event and flew in from New York to Toronto, then traveled by car for over 3 hours past farms and corn fields to take part in Milford’s “funkfest”, only to get up early the next morning to return to New York to do the David Letterman Show.
Can you believe that? It just happened! That same year, the Canadian band, Newworldson joined the party and planted some of its gospel soul roots in Milford’s Mount Tabor Playhouse. Since then Newworldson was signed by a major US record Label, was nominated for a Juno award and has been touring the world and will be the opening act this August, in Holland, in front of 40,000 + people.
